An increasing number of students at the University of Gothenburg are getting involved in sustainability issues. Two new sustainability associations are now being formed; one at the Faculty of Science and the other at the Faculty of Arts.
The Sahlgrenska Academy’s Students for Sustainability (SASS), Students for Sustainability (HaSS) at the School of Business, Economics and Law, and Fossil Free at the University of Gothenburg have already been established for a while and work actively with sustainability issues. Now, two new sustainability associations are being formed; one at the Faculty of Science and the other at the Faculty of Arts.
‘It’s great to see more and more students getting actively involved in sustainability issues! We arrange network meetings for the groups about once a month so they can meet and inspire one another. As well as working actively with their own faculty, they have begun to run various other projects together. Their common name is the Gothenburg Sustainability Student Alliance (GSSA, and the group includes Chalmers Students for Sustainability (CSS),’ said Moa Persson, environmental coordinator at the University of Gothenburg’s environment unit.
