Acting for sustainability through knowledge and collaboration

The core task of Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV) is to create and facilitate cooperation, between and within Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg, with an aim to generate and practically implement knowledge about sustainable development. In order to develop solutions to global challenges, we bring academic disciplines together to create new knowledge. Moreover, practical implementation of knowledge requires collaboration between academia and other actors in society. To this end, we create meeting places and bring together different types of expertise in order to promote sustainable development within research, education and cooperation.

  • Registrations for Act Sustainable 2020 opened

    [6 Oct 2020] The registrations for Act Sustainable are open. Don´t forget that each event requires its own registration, but you can register for as many events as you want.

  • The University of Gothenburg has problems with its e-mail. Please use alternative means of contacting staff

    [5 Oct 2020] Since Friday 18 September, the University of Gothenburg has had major problems with its e-mails due to a server crash. In recent days, some emails are working again, but far from all.

  • Magdalena Eriksson Platform Leader for Global Sustainable Futures

    [29 Sep 2020] The objective of Global Sustainable Futures is to develop and facilitate collaboration between University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology and universities in Low- and Middle-Income Countries and at the same time contribute to the realization of Agenda 2030. Both universities already have extensive collaboration in Africa, Asia and South America. Global Sustainable Futures aims to contribute to increased synergies and new co-operation in research and education. The work is carried out within Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV).
