Theme day
Welcome to the sustainability week Act Sustainable 2021 on November 15-19. Act Sustainable is Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg´s shared sustainability week, packed with inspiration, research, and knowledge for all students, teachers, researchers, and staff at the universities.
On November 15 Act Sustainable will open the doors to Studenternas Hus in Vasa and invite students, researchers, teachers and all other staff at the universities to a whole week dedicated to sustainable development. Each day offers several events, all with a unique take and perspective on sustainable development and this years theme: Factivism - Get Your Facts Straight!
The weeks first keynote speaker is Mathias Cederholm whom will talk about the mechanisms of the media landscape and how we can be better at navigating through fake news, pseudoscience and disinformation. During the week you´ll also have the chance to meet Maja Lunde who will talk about her bestseller Blue together with researchers and students from Chalmers University of Technology.

Factivism - Get Your Facts straight!
This year´s theme is as relevant and important as ever and carries a great academic tradition. Through knowledge and a better understanding of the world, we have the tools to shape and change it, to be something better. Agenda 2030 and the Global Goals are an attempt at making things better with a holistic approach never before seen on this scale. We all have to chip in with research, practice and action.

Act Sustainable - A sustainability week with heritage
The origin of Act Sustainable can be traced all the way back to 2005 and an endeavour from the University of Gothenburg to raise the students knowledge and understanding of sustainable development. Several years before there were any global goals for sustainability. Nowadays the aim is to bring the universities closer together in multidisciplinary perspectives on sustainable development through inspiration, and knowledge. The students are, and always have been the weeks most important part. That¿s why you can participate in a lunch event each day arranged by the students sustainability organizations.
The week is organized and administrated by Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, GMV, at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.
