Take charge of the official program of Act Sustainable 2021!

We call on all students from Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg to make their voices heard during the annual sustainability week!
We open all lunch sessions to be led by students, bringing their unique perspectives on sustainability questions to the spotlight. We welcome student-led groups, associations, committees, unions, and other types of student organisations at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg to be part of the official program of Act Sustainable. The Act Sustainable 2021-team will select up to 5 student-led sessions to be part of the official program.
Sessions are selected based on the following criteria:
- Thematic connection: How well does the proposed event connect to the official theme for Act Sustainable 2021 - Factivism - get your fact straight!
- Program synergies: Potential synergies and connections to other events in the official program.
- Interest and importance: Level of general interest and importance of proposed topic and format.
- Collaboration and cross-disciplinary approach: Are there other partners from other academic fields or sectors involved? Does the event approach the sustainability challenge from a cross-disciplinary perspective?
Who can apply to host a session?
- Organisations, committees, groups, classes, and projects led by students at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg. These types of groups shall comprise of students at the two universities and be primarily student-focused or student-led.
- Student unions or student union collaborations
Practical information
- Selected sessions will be hosted in the Act Sustainable 2021 official venues. This means that there is no need for hosts to book venues. However, each hosting organisations administrates all other practical aspects of their respective events, such as contact with speakers, purchasing material etc.
- Registration forms are administered by the Act Sustainable 2021 team.
- Student organisations may apply for up to 5.000 SEK funding for their event. Funding can be used to pay for example lunch, speakers, or other material to be used during your session.
- Student-led sessions are hosted in English and take place between 12.10 - 13.00
- Sessions can be hosted as lectures, panels, workshops or another suitable format.
- Student-led sessioner are open for all students and may be open to staff as well.
- The deadline to submit session proposals is October 3rd, 2021. Accepted sessions will be contacted by October 6th at the latest. Please note that this opportunity is only open for students attending Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.

About Act Sustainable 2021
Act Sustainable is arranged annually by Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, GMV, on behalf of Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg. Each year feature new topics, presenters, program partners, and venues. Topics always address sustainable development in some matter and do so with an interdisciplinary approach. The week is always open to all students, teachers, researchers, and other staff at the universities. Individual events may be aimed at, or exclusive to, a specific target group. Act Sustainable 2021 will take place November 15-19. This year’s theme is Factivism – Get your facts straight!
