Do you need support?
We offer support for researchers, teachers, students and management at Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg and their partner universities in low- and middle-income countries. We complement and leverage on other university support functions with regards to internationalisation.
We offer three categories of support, all geared towards increasing collaboration with low- and middle-income countries:
1. Knowledge transfer, and information sharing
- We are an arena for knowledge sharing regarding research training partnership, institutional collaboration and student exchange with focus on low- and middle-income countries.
- We arrange webinars and conferences with strong participation from partners in low- and middle-income countries. Our activities target a multidisciplinary audience.
2. Support an enabling environment for collaboration
- We are a network, a community of practice, of you who are interested in collaboration with LMICs.
- We increase knowledge about methods for responsible, mutually rewarding collaborations – by offering webinars and roundtables on such topics and pointing to useful resources.
- We support development of concrete collaboration between Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg and partners in LMICs in specific thematic and geographic areas such as SDG6 and SDG8 and the East Africa Initiative. Do you have ideas on other network needs, please let us know.
- We monitor university collaborations (bibliometric analysis and major collaborations, student exchange.)
3. Networking
- We exploit synergies and act as a broker to connect people.
- We help to share knowledge and experiences from researchers who already have established contacts and networks in a region, with other researchers.
- We help researchers without networks to connect with others and develop their network.
- We offer network members to make use of our communication platforms, including our LinkedIn group to disseminate information about events, pose questions and identify opportunities for collaboration.
