About focus and themes GSF

Global Sustainable Futures is right now forming its organisation, in a near future we will present Focus and Themes. At the moment, autumn 2020, we are focusing on theme Water Area and Economical Sustainable Consumption (SDG 8).

The Global Sustainable Futures (GSF) Thematic working Groups (TG), within sub-areas of relevance for sustainable development in a global perspective, will be challenge-driven, include inter- and multidisciplinary as well as cross-sector perspectives. The work will be carried out as an inclusive process where various academic stakeholders are invited to contribute. The specialized themes will be evaluated and selected based on several aspects including expected impact of research, education and collaboration/utilization and potential of the formed constellations to attract external funding. The aim of the TGs is to identify and develop existing strengths within GSF and with partners in Low- and Middle- Income Countries (LMICs). The work will also function as a preparation for wide and transboundary applications for funding, taking opportunities to apply for and win larger national and international grants. The TGs will help GSF define the development challenges and understand the driving causes behind them as well as their solutions and the transformations required to reach the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

If you or your organisation know someone or have ideas, know people you would like to connect within the universities working with similar themes, please contact us in the secretariat for GSF. We are here for facilitating the work for you. If you come up with an idea that we didnt think of, do you see a connection that we did not think of within the both universities or the Low- and middle income-countries within Africa, EastAfrica, Asia, South America or the Caribbean dont hesitate to contact us.

You will find our e-mailaddresses and names under Contact (to the right and above).
